Support

Need a hand with PickleballFlow? Below are answers to the most common questions - and if you can't find what you need, we're happy to help.

Contact us

The quickest way to reach us is by email:

support@pickleballflow.app

We aim to reply within 2–3 working days. When you get in touch, it helps to include:

  • Your device model and iOS/Android version
  • The app version (shown on the About screen)
  • A short description of what happened, and what you expected instead
  • A screenshot, if relevant

Getting started

1. Add your players. On the Setup screen, create a player list and add everyone who's playing. You can save lists to reuse them next time.

2. Set your courts. Tell PickleballFlow how many courts you have available.

3. Start the session. Tap Start Session and the app generates balanced games for the first round.

4. Play, then continue. After each game, head to the between-games screen to start the next round, manage breaks, or handle players arriving and leaving.

Frequently asked questions

How does PickleballFlow decide partners, opponents and courts?

The app uses a fairness-focused algorithm that balances partnerships, opponents and court time across the whole session. It tries to give everyone a varied mix of partners and opponents while keeping sit-outs fair, rather than repeating the same pairings.

How are sit-outs handled?

When you have more players than court spaces, PickleballFlow rotates sit-outs fairly so the same people aren't repeatedly benched. You can see the current sit-out balance on the session health screen.

Can players arrive late or leave early?

Yes. Between games you can add players who've just arrived or mark players as leaving. The app factors the change into the next round so games stay balanced.

Can someone take a break without leaving the session?

Yes. You can mark a player as on a break between games and bring them back in when they're ready, without removing them from the session.

Can I track scores?

Score tracking is optional. If you enable it, you can record results for each game, and the app keeps win/loss records and session history. If you'd rather just organise games, you can leave scores off entirely.

How many players and courts are supported?

PickleballFlow supports 4 to 24 players. For the best experience we recommend a maximum of 24 players across 4 courts. For larger groups, we suggest splitting into separate sessions.

Can I save and reuse my regular group?

Yes. Save any group as a named player list on the Setup screen, then load it again next time - no need to re-enter everyone.

How do I back up or move my player lists to another device?

From the player lists screen, choose Export Lists to save a backup file you can store or share. On another device, choose Import Lists and select that file. Importing merges safely with any lists already on the device and skips exact duplicates, so you won't lose anything.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. PickleballFlow stores your players, sessions and history on your device, so it works offline at the courts. An internet connection is only used for anonymous analytics and standard app functions.

Where is my data stored?

Your player lists, sessions and history are stored locally on your device. The only way to move them to another device is via the backup export/import feature above. If you delete the app, that local data is removed - so export a backup first if you want to keep it.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't behaving as expected. Try fully closing and reopening the app. If that doesn't help, restart your device.

I lost my player lists. If you previously exported a backup file, use Import Lists to restore them. We recommend exporting a backup periodically, and before reinstalling the app.

Something still isn't right. Email us at support@pickleballflow.app with your device, app version and a description, and we'll help you sort it out.

Feedback and feature requests

We build PickleballFlow based on what players and organisers actually need. If you have an idea, a request, or something that would make your sessions run smoother, we'd genuinely love to hear it - email support@pickleballflow.app.

If you're enjoying the app, leaving a rating or review really helps other players find it.
